Hi

I am looking for a way to get a list of the last full for each client on a networker server with the size for each full.

We are looking to change to capacity based license and need to get an idea of what we are backing up.

Thanks

This is not so easy and a multi-step process. Here a raw concept.

1. Run nsradmin to find all client resources.
Here a Windows example:

D:\>nsradmin > D:\clients.txt
. type: nsr client
show name
print
q

D:\>

2. Edit the files (Excel) until you only have unique client names.

3. Next use mminfo to find all save set names for each client.

4. Now for each client AND save set name find the last full.
Unfortunately, NW does not know the 'last' full - you must set the savetime query appropriately.

5. Query the mdb for the 'sumsize' parameter for each full save set.

6. Add all sumsizes to the final result.

It is much easier to use NMC's built-in reports.

Keep in mind that this will not help where a NW save set does not contain true data, like for Avamar backups.

Thanks for the reply.

After I get the list for clients will I have to do one by one client? or is there a way to do all at once?

I've tried the reporting from NMC but can't find a report that will give me just one full per client. Do you know of any?

As i said, you have to do it for each client. The best you can do is to script the job.
