On a BCM 400 we have 3 analog lines hooked up to an audio response system. These lines are part of a Hunt group with a DID. Right now if all 3 lines are busy, the line just rings until one of them gets done, then the call is answered. I want the hunt group to give the caller a busy signal if all 3 lines are currently in use. Here is what I have so far:

Hunt Group 01:
Mode: Linear
Hunt Delay: 1
If busy: Busy Tone

Line assigned is 242:
If busy: Busy Tone
Prime Set: None

I've even set the other 3 lines as well (except for the no prime set part).

I've tried turning on the Do Not Disturb on busy setting for the DNs but it still doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Nic

If at first you don't succeed....then sky diving isn't for you.

It looks like all your settings are right.

You only have a single appearance on each phone, right?

You are not overflowing anywhere?

I know Nortel of all ilk seem to have issues with signalling and tones when it comes to Analog stations.

I don't know iof that is why, but if so, you could try overflowing to an inactive number to get busy tone

Right now our Hunt Group overflows to itself. i.e. Hunt group DID is 7101 and overflow is set to 7101. So I should change the overflow to an inactive number?

Thanks for your help.

Sorry, yes, only one appearance on each phone.
