Hi,

A customer has opened a new office in germany. They have an E1 overthere but i'm having troubles to get the outgoing CLIP right. When the station is on sending number on restricted, the provider is still sending the main trunk number. We have called the german telecom provider, but they are saying it's a switch error.

Anyone here with a german setup.

CM is a 6.3

Thanks in advance

Steve

If you set Send Calling Number to restricted on the trunk the carrier should honour that.
Then for those stations for which you want to send CLIP set Per Station CPN to Yes on page 2 of the station form.
I think...

Thx Speewah for your reply

When "set Send Calling Number to restricted" on a list trace we can see No name and No Number. But the provider still sending the main number
When "Set Send Calling Number to yes" the correct number of the phone is sent, so this is OK.
When calling T-systems they are telling us they sent the number transparant, and don't change any setting. it is a problem on the Avaya.

I have tried to configure the trunk in etsi and in country 13 (for Germany) but both give the same problem.

Ok, what Format is configured on Page 3 of the trunk? (natl-pub, pub-unk etc)

Hi dasan64,
I'm not seeing any description :)

My guess is that the carrier didn't like something in the format of the call setup messages you sent them when the trunk was set to restrict Send Calling Number.
As a test I suggest changing the Format setting on page 3 of the trunk group to natl-pub. - this how all our German trunks are configured.

Hi gents, thanks for thinking with me on this.

I have tested the settings as in the doc of Dasan64.
Sending calling number on "N" we are not sending any name or number out, end-user is receiving a number with the last digit missing
I have changed public unknown, but still the same, the end-user is receiving 10 digits instead of 11. If I place sending calling number on "Y" then the end-user is receiving the correct number with the 11 digits. And the public unknown table is used.

Is this a provider issue, they keep pointing at the Avaya.

Thanks,

Steve
