Whenever I try to create a map using ODBC to the AS400 OneWorld tables, I add the data source and I don't get the list of tables to choose from. My connection tests successfully and MS Access can pull up the tables fine. I'm running out of ideas. Can anyone help?
They are supposedly working on it for 2 weeks now. They have yet to suggest anything helpful.
I have also tried IBM thinking it may be a client access issue but again they were no help.
I'm open for any and all suggestions though.
Don't know Gentran, but since you can connect outside of Gentran I would say your ODBC connection and Client Access are set up correctly.
Does Gentran produce any logs or traces that indicte the connection?
Are the versions of ODBC and Client Access / DB2 supported by your version of Gentran?

The thing is, it works on my current production box so I know it can work. We are migrating to a new box and it doesn't work. They are supposed to be images of one another. I'm at the end of my rope on this one. Network says it's not a network issue. IBM says my drivers are up to date. Gentran says my driver is out of date. My AS400 guy says it's a network issue.
If they are supposed to be images, then see if the admin can restore the prod backup to the new box. If this can't be done, then they are not "images". What drive does Getntan say is out of date and who supplies it?

Ask them for the version and build number. I would guess that IBM knows what is current for the DB2 version you are using. Could Gentran be thinking of a newer DB2 version?
