Hi all-I am trying to generate a test trap to a server we have at HQ running the trial version of Alarmtraq.
I was able to enable SNMP in the lab here fairly easily and DID receive alarms when a T-1 that we created between CM and our demo IPO went down.

The ultimate goal is obviously to have this work from client sites through a public IP with NAT diverting to our local server.

Does anyone know how to generate a test trap for such a scenario?

I can't very well pull the T-1 on a live site-

Or is there another way to receive an alarm when a T-1 goes down?

We spoke to Avaya and for them to enable this on the CM side there is a monthly recurring fee involved-not very appetizing.

try to login with an invalid user or bad password...i know that works in cm.

Good idea_I'll give that a try.
