We have Paradox8 and 9 running on Windows 2000 and XP workstations logging into Novell 5.1 server. When running a report to print landscape, we get a general protection violation, and Paradox is aborted. We are printing to a HP Laserjet 4000 and has tried changing the driver from PCL6 to 5 to just PCL. Has even tried using the laserjet 4 and 4M driver. I have also changed the windows compatibility to Windows NT. Nothing seems to help.

The report will print fine when run on Windows 98. I can get the report to run in portrait mode without generating the error, but the report is long and needs to be printed landscaped on legal papaer. Any suggestions on how to print this report landscape.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Just out of curiosity have you tried using the old HPII drivers? Although the PCL5 drivers should work, there were issues (especially with version 8).

Thank you. The report did print using this driver, the HP Laser II.

You are welcome. Also, some older versions of JetDirect will cause GPF problems on networked printers. Upgrading solves the problem.
