General POS software question

Hello everyone;

I have tried a few free POS software packages, and I cannot find anything that suits my needs. I need to be able to:

- Bring up customers via phone number
- Each customer has a number of units (I recently purchased a water store, they will only be buying water in one particular size)
- I can add units and decrement units, and print a receipt which displays this
- must be able to use scanner.

Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

I tried a web search but it returns too much to sift through.
What you are looking for will not be free. What you will want to include in your search are POS sytems that are stronger on delivery more than anything else. These type of softwares will let you look up by name or number and run accounts.

I have no problem paying for software, I was just mentioning that I had tried the few free trial software that I could find. I was just hoping someone could steer me in the right direction as there appears to be quite a bit of POS software available.

take a look at Veloce.
You will be able to track and sell to your customers.
Using there delivery module you will be able to do that.
