Hi,

I've setup a simple, effective menu option module in Voicemail Pro, that sets and tests user variables.

This is so managers of various depts can put their groups into 'override'. When set, the call flow in voicemail pro tests the variable, then sends the call to a repeated message to say various things from 2 minutes silence to training days etc.

Now, is there anything I can do to put the whole IPO 412 into override, in case of emergency? I've got loads of DDI's going to extensions and various other ways customers can call into the switch.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You can make an incoming call route set up for an incoming ID that doesn't exist. Leave the telephone number field blank so that anything that comes in on that Incoming ID will be affected. Then set your destination to go to your VM module that you design to tell your customers that there is an emergency and set it for whatever you want it to do. Then whenever you have the emergency, you can to into the Line field and change your Incoming ID to the one that matches the one that you built for the incoming call route.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I've had a look at your suggestion, but it won't let me edit the line ID in 'line'.

Not sure if I should mess too much with the line side of things. I'm always worried that it just won't be right when I put it back to original config....just me being cautious i guess!

You aren't actually changing the Line ID. You are wanting to change the "Incoming Group ID". If they are analog lines you will see it when you double click on the line. If it is a PRI/T1, you can highlight all the active channels and right click and select edit. Then you will see the field for "Incoming Group". You can change it back just as easy when the emergency is over.
