Until recently my new graphics card worked fine. I rebooted my machine and now the only display I get is the wondows background. No icons or startbar. I can use keystrokes to shutdown or launch programs such as the driver cd but nothing shows up on my screen but the desktop. The disk drive does activate like something should be happening. I can't verify the driver becuase I can't navigate the screens without the use of my mouse which isn't visible either.
Any help will be greately appreciated.

try booting in safe mode....F8 as it boots If your unsure....Dont do it!

Sounds like you have the second output enabled(usually TV-out). You should be able to disable it in safe-mode by changing the driver through display properties.

Thank you, that did it. I wasn't able to confirm that the dual monitor issue was the problem because the advanced properties didn't list those options. I simply removed the driver, had it search for new hardware and install the new driver. Then rebooted. It came back fine. I should have thought of safe mode first. Haven't had to run that since XP and kinda forgot about it being there.
Thank you for the advice.
