After recently updating a Geforce 4 MX-420 graphics card with the latest drivers, when I now go into the GeForce setup via desktop > properties > settings > advanced, I receive a "Run a DLL as an App" error attributed to Rundll32.exe.
This seems to be the only time the error appears.
Does anybody know how to rectify the problem (rolling back the driver doesn't) or if it will actually cause a problem on the Pc? It doesn't seem to be causing one yet.

Did you uninstall the previous driver before installing the new version? This is highly recommended by NVIDIA whenever upgrading their video drivers.

I've got to admit I didn't do that.

Cheers
Steve

Freestone,
I would have given you a pink star, but it doesn't matter how many times I click on it, it won't add it.
Sorry

Steve

Thanks for that SYAR. I'd give you a pink star but..........

Thanks for the star. I've returned the favor. So I'm guessing that the star is implying uninstalling and installing the drivers fixed the problem?

Freestone,
no - I haven't tried it yet. The star is for it being "helpful" as its something I haven't tried yet.
2 stars if it does work though.

Steve
