I was wondering what you all suggest for study material. I do not have a lot of money,(married with kids) but I already have a 2600, 2 Catalyst 2924's and I can borrow a 1600 from work. With these, what else should I think about? Also, what types of cable should I get? What books are good for this exam? And is it true, that this exam will recertify a CCNA that is still valid? Mine is up pretty soon....

Thanks,

hi... im takin the old bsci at the end of this week, to my knowledge theres no new BSCI book out yet. so ur gonna have to go w/ the old bsci books, im using SYBEX book which does a okay job on the subject and has practice labs.(the ciscopress books are not very good IMO, its more detailed but it takes alot of patients to read)

all u probably need is 3 routers, reason being theres alot of routing protocols and redistrbuting...
you'll need a few serial interfaces... yes the new BSCI will recert ur CCNA
