Did you install it in the main or expansion unit? In the expansion unit the dip switches must be set as indicated by Element Manager. If it is in the main, all dip switches should be on.
Have a look at this
I know its not about trunks But it could be a simalar problem..
ISSUE: ASM MBM will not boot in BCM50 / BCM450 System.
RELEASE: REL 1 of ASM modules (NT5B16AAAF)
CR: Q02018601
SYMPTOMS: ASM module will not boot - both LEDs flashing green, module shows as Enabling in Element Manager
WORKAROUND: If module is located in an expansion unit, power off the expansion unit (leave main system powered up), pull the module out, flip dip switch 1 of the mode/region bank of dip switches to the ON position, replace the module and power up the expansion unit. If expansion unit is not available, but BCM 4.0 system is available, can put into the module into the 4.0 system (after changing dip switch as noted above) to upgrade the firmware on it and then place into BCM450 system. Please note that this DOES NOT affect GASMs.
I had one a few weeks ago where I put a GATM8 in slot 2 of the main unit and no way would it come up. I moved it to slot 4 and it worked fine. Nortel"s solution was to replace the whole box. Wish I had this info earlier, I would like to have tested that.
