Garbled printing using ICA client 10.0 for XP.

Hi all,

I had this issue.

I am using Metaframe Presentation Server 3.0 on Windows 2000 server.

My users are using ICA Clients 10.0 and 9

For the users using 9.1, no problemo, for the users using 10.0, mucho problemo, mainly in printing. Whenever They try to print on their local HP 4100 laserjets, the printing is garbled, some more than others. When we revert them back to ICA client 9, all problems are solved. Anyone else have this sort of issue?

On another note, I also have MetaframeEvent 1107 repeating constantly on the server application log when users logging on try to autocreate their printers. I have installed citrix hotfix MPSE300W2KR05 which is supposed to solve the problem, but it didn't.

Are you using native drivers on your citrix server? If not, you should be. Map the client's printer to a native 2003 printer driver and it should go away.

Change the driver to an HP 2100 on the print server or where ever you have the driver install for the printers.

He should just have to do a printer mapping in the management console. That way you can leave the client driver as is for local printing and it will mount as printer driver X when the user prints from citrix.

Well ok, I have not used that method before, if I start having problems with a printer like in question I just change the driver gets rid of a point of failure.

I changed the driver, that kinda solved the problem. thanks
