Gantt Bar Formatting and Bar Text

When setting Gantt Bar text to be either on the TOP or on the BOTTOM of the Bar, MS Project 2010 (SP2) increases the Gantt and Sheet Row Height for that particular Task... and all Tasks in the entire plan.

Is there a technique to have only the Gantt and Sheet Row Height increase for Tasks with Bottom or TOP Gantt Bar text.... and no others?

In testing, it appears to increase all row heights.Tested in 2010 and 2016
