Hi Guys,

Can someone help with this?

I can Ping out from the system status to an external address, but still can’t make any calls out?
The STUN server IP Address is getting out also, returning with the correct information.

I put a short code in Place so that I could dial on the trunk
*7N; Telephone number: N Line 19

I also tried the Shortcode that the - Gamma Avaya - Guide suggested
*7N;Telephone number: “0XXXXXXXXXX@81.245.200.170” Line 19

I am still not getting out, but when I dial in on the telephone number 0XXXXXXXXXX the system Monitor trace gives me a 405 error message? NOT ALLOWED?

Any suggestions,

Regards,

Try this
N;
Dial
N"@81.245.200.170”
Line 19

Those shortcodes are wrong if you put them in system shortcodes as the ; will not work with default UK settings, they would work in ARS though. However I would use the following

*7XXXXXXXXXXX
Dial
. (you no longer need the @81.245 etc bit)
Line gp - 19

That's using your *7 prefix. Why is this, for testing? :)

BTW Gamma trunks are not the best...by far. Is the rest all setup correctly? As shortcodes is a tiny part of what needs to be right :)

I use
N;
Dial
N"@81.245.200.170”
Line 19

in my ARS and it works for me.

It will, but if you wait too long between digits the timeout will hit and you will get a failed call, also if you dial fast it will still wait for the timeout to hit before sending the digits, the @XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is not needed since R6 but still works.

If you use this in ARS (my area code is 0191) it works much faster/nicer:

0XXXXXXXXXX
Dial
.
Line Gp - whatever

That will dial as soon as you hit the last digit, but will also wait for as long as you like between digits before dialling

Also add

2XXXXXX
Dial
0191.
Line Gp - whatever

and

3XXXXXX
Dial
0191.
Line Gp - whatever

etc, etc for all valid local dialling without area code, it works in the same way as above but also adds your prefix so users don't need to.

You will then need

00N;
Dial
.
Line Gp - whatever

As this will catch (variable length) international calls if required.

And maybe 1N; etc for 118 type stuff :)

Try it, the system works faster and gives users more time to dial :)

I suspect the OP is confusing Line and Line group?

Make a proper ARS route based on your URIs

so - you will have MAIN ARS and make a new one called SIP

Add Andy's short codes into it for dialling.

Your system shortcode woll look like

N;
Dial
N
LG ID: SIP

All your number matching is done in ARS

What helped me once was to change the "Use Network Topology Info" to "None".

The trunk was not authenticating before, and started authenticating after it.

IP authentication or username authentication. If the former is this set correctly on the Gamma Portal, if the latter is it registering.

We have been doing SIP for several years now and still program all systems the same (as they all work without issues).

System Shortcode

?
Dial
.
Line Group 51

or

9N
Dial
N
Line Group 51

The above depends on whether they want to use a 9 or not.

ARS for 51

N;
N"@XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX"
Dial
Line Group ID 200

200 is the default line group we use for SIP outdialling.

I used to do the same Pepp, but changed for the reasons above, both ways work but I prefer the xxxxx method personally :)
