G729Annexb

Hello,
I'm running Avaya IPO version 11.0.2 and need to enable G729Annex b. How can I do that?

I read that Silence suppression has to be enabled first to get G729 Annexb supported in IPO but I don't see the Voip Silence Suppression option anywhere to activate Voice activity detection in the system .

Any idea?

Read what where? - because it sounds like rubbish.

G729b is only available on IP Office 500 V2 systems, not Linux based systems.

The only link between silence suppression and codecs that I know is it isn't used with G711.

How any of that links to VAD I don't know.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

It may be that you are referring to keep alives. They're configured at the trunk level. They should be half the time the carrier gives you. i.e. if the carrier says 5 mintes set it to 150 seconds.

I have a server Eition version 11.0.2 and created the SIP trunk and enabled the Voice Silence suppression on the IP500 V2 cabinet but I'm still getting annexb=no.

How can I get annexb=yes?

You need to be a bit more specific.

So I have to assume you created a SIP trunk on the IP500? and that is a part of the INVITE sent from the IP500 on an outgoing call?
