I am installing a g700 gateway of an 8730. 5.1 software. Here is the question. Is there a way to have more than ONE music on hold source? As far as I know you can only use one MOH in an analog card. Customer would like MOH for one group and a different MOH with comercials on another. I have less than a week to get this done.

i think there is some way to use an announcement. i can't remember how though.

From ASA type disp tenant 1, in that field you will see Music Source. Then type Change music, here is where you would configure multiple sources, and then change the Tenant field to whatever source is needed. Then in the station form of the user, you will see a option right above where you would configure the COR, it should display TN, this is where you would add the tenant number of the music source for that user.

In this example this user is configured as Tenant 1

Code:
           Tenant Description:

              Attendant Group: 1

        Ext Alert Port (TAAS):

            Night Destination:

                 Music Source: 1

      Attendant Vectoring VDN:

Code:
 Source Type Port Description

                  1: music 1v202 commercial
                  2: tone
                  3: none
                  4: none
                  5: none

Code:
Extension: 3021 Lock Messages? n BCC: 0
     Type: 9630 Security Code: * TN: 1
     Port: S00047 Coverage Path 1: 2 COR: 1
     Name: john
                  Coverage Path 2: COS: 1
                                         Hunt-to Station:

So in Essence you would be doing tenant partitioning to use more than one MOH. If this is where you are not going please correct me. I have 24 tenants on the system each with there own music source. What i want to do is have one tenant with mulitipule music sources. In a 650 gateway I have used an Aux board pointed to an announcment to play multiple MOH. 6 in this case. But I want to do this on a G700 without adding a tenant partition. Is this Possiable?? Can a speacial piece of gear accomplish this?? Nobody has been able to shed light on this yet. Still looking for help.

Can you use an mm714 and configure the trunk ports for music and point the announcment to the port?

I don't really understand your situation, but the only way to have multi MOH sources is with tenant partitioning.

No...we have an Aux board in a 650 gateway with 5 different music sources going thru it and each one terminates at an Announcment. I then but the announcment in the vector:

Wait 300 sec hearing V8 (ann #) and Continue.

Works great but an Aux board is only for a 650 not G700. so I'm reserching the idea of using a trunk line for music. Sombody has got to have set something up like this before.

Code:
If tenant partitioning is "n" then you use
Command: change system-parameters features

If tenant partitioning is "y" then you use
Command: change music-sources
display system-parameters customer-options Page 5 of 10

I guess what i'm looking for is 2 or more audio in one partition. in the announcments what are the terms in the Annc type, used for "analog, analog-m, aux-trunk, analog-fd, aux-trk-m,integ-m, intergr-rep????

Locally Sourced Announcements and Music

Does not require tenant partitioning.

The Locally Sourced Announcement and Music feature is based on the concept of
audio source groups. This feature allows announcement and music sources to be
located on any or all of the Voice Announcement with LAN (VAL) circuit packs or
on virtual VALs (v VAL) in a media gateway. The VAL or v VAL circuit packs are
assigned to an audio group. The audio group is then assigned to an announcement
or audio extension as a group sourced location. When an incoming call requires
an announcement or music-on-hold, the audio source that is closest to the
incoming call trunk plays the file that is assigned to the announcement
extension.

For more information, see the feature description on "Locally Sourced
Announcements and Music."

The question is, why do you need more then 1 MOH per tenant..?
