How do I connect to the G700 with the Avaya Voice Announcement Manager Program.

What IP address do I connect to? Is it the 8300 or the G700 ip address? This is the error I'm getting.

**Task:Get VAL Board Information ** :No VAL Boards and Groups detected on Alpha

I have a 8300 with G450 and I connect to the 8300 ip-address.
But I guess that will stay the same

Can you tell me how its setup in Avaya Voice Announcement Manager Program??

Tell me how you have your properties set up for the connection

No problem.

As I remember well I clicked on "Register Voice System".
This is an option under "System" in the Menu Bar, or press shift+R

Note: 192.168.55.1 the ipaddress of the 8300

Then you need to complete the following fields:

Name: just enter a name, company name for example
FQDN or IP Address: 192.168.55.1
Port: 5022 (this is default, you can't change it)
Login Name: dadmin
Password: **********

Also select: Connect at Startup and Use SSH.
I did not change the SSH configuration.

Note2: dadmin has user profile 18.

I'm now trying to remember if I did something else but I don't think so.

E I did what you said and I get this error..

**Task:Get VAL Board Information ** :No VAL Boards and Groups detected on Alpha

mmmm, can't say that I have had issues with the VAL manager.

So back to the basics: what version are you using (CM and VAL).
My CM is 5.1 and I'm using VAL 5.0.11 SP5.01

Also, just to be sure, are your val boards active?
