Can anyone tell me if it is necessary to configure the standby LAN port ip address when using port redundancy on a G450? For example, if the primary port is 10/5 and the secondary 10/6 does port 10/6 need to be configured with ip addresses etc or does it automatically take on the same values as 10/5. If 10/6 does have to be configured can it have the same ip address as 10/5? Thanks in advance, Paul.

If you configure 10/6 as redundant, it will take on the IP Address assigned to the VLAN, default is 1. The ports are configured as active/backup when redundant.
The command would look like this:

set port redundancy 10/5 10/6 on "1"

*Note: whatever is in the quotes is just a name, you can put whatever you want in there.

Thanks samorse. I take it that both ports 10/5 & 10/6 take their ip addresses from the address given to the vlan.
