We have a S8500with 2 G450 gateway with (1) having an Alarm indication lit on the front. Our vendor and I have checked the alarm and error logs and there is nothing logged.
The indictaion happened after our MPLS circuit failed to our remote office where we have (1) G350/S8300 gateway that went into LSP mode when this happened. We had to have the services of the G350 restarted to make it re-establish normal operation.

Does it require a re-boot of the G450 to clear the indication or is there something else we should be looking at?

The alarm light often indicates that the gateway is not registered with a controller.
As you have had an LSP take control recently it's possible that if the gateway recovery rules have not been set properly that the system is not happy.
use the command list survivable and see if the LSP is still regstered and if it is still in control.
look at disp media x for the gateway with the alarm up and check it is registered OK.
also you can use status media-gateways.

Speak softly and carry a big switch

go to the CLI on the G450, enter show mgc, check if its up.

System is functioning but for some reason our PRI signaling had a issue back in October but after it is stable. Our vendor support tech is checking with Avaya why it has not cleared since the logs have nothing. It may require a re start after hours to clear.

It could also be that the "sync source" is not working or setup properly. Telnet or SSH into the G450's PMI, and do a "show sync timing", see if it is setup to sync of the MM710 PRI/T1 in the gateway.. if that is not setup, or the PRI/T1 is not providing a valid sync source, that is also a reason for the "alarm" light being on on the G450.
