G430 enable interfaces

Hi,
How is it possible to enable the FastEthernet port 10/3 & 10/4 on the G430 gateways???

If I want to configure them for backup interfaces I always get the error message (this is the inital configuration):

"G430-???(super)# interface FastEthernet 10/3
BAD 1st PARAMETER (10/3)"

Are there any ideas?

you need to use the "set port" commands to enable and configure the physical ports.

It is possible to enable the interface with "set port", but even through this activation you will get the inital error message.

It seems that the interfaces 10/3 and 10/4 are bounded to the default vlan 1, but it is not possible to delete/deactivate the vlan or to clear the binding to a vlan.

Any ideas?
