G4 DESKTOP PROBLEM

When I attempt to switch on my G4, the light briefly glows then goes out. It won't start up. Anyone know of anything I can do?

This symptom is usually down to a faulty power supply.

Before replacing the power supply, replace the battery on the main board. I had exactly the same symptoms as you, and replacing the battery did the trick for me...
