I'm trying to set up some office space across the road in a different building I know I can use fiber but I don't have that option can I use a T1

What are my options, can't I set it up like a fiber only send it out on a T using csu's

With a V2i, fiber is your only option. You'll need to:

1) Use fiber
2) Upgrade to CM2
3) Use an MCK extender type product (depending on size)
4) Put a 2nd PBX in the other building use T-1 tie lines.

WHen you say 2nd pbx will it have to be dialed as an external number or an ext.

If you have a tie line, you can setup 4 digit dialing. With DCS software, you can also share 1 vmail system and see the Names on the displays between buildings.

Can you explain? I'm not sure what DCS is.

DCS is a feature in the PBX used to network 2 or more Definity's. It's a software option that lets the systems pass the name information, light message waiting lamps, etc. You'll have to look under "display system cust" to see if DCS is set to YES in your existing system. If not, Avaya will charge to turn it on (if they even sell that stuff for V2's anymore).

Is there a piece of eqiupment out there that will allow me to take fiber out of my switch convert it so I can send it down copper then back at the far end, because I can tell the switch that it's fiber just like I do on my g3r. LIke a csu/dsu
