G-Lists From outside

Lets see a customer called me and told me that he was able to call in on his back line and leave a message in his groul list and it worked fine. Now he calles in and dials 901 and it tells him it is a invalid ext. But if you do it in house it works. Any Ideas. Thanks

901 is not a valid DN...it is a mailbox only so the phone system gives a not in service message on the display when you try to intercom a DN that does not exist, from inside you must press Feature 980 to leave a message then enter mailbox #901 or you can also leave 901 a message from within your own mailbox.

curlycord, Thats exactly what I told the customer but he insists that all he had to do before is dial in his back number and enter 901. So I will have to explain again how this Feature works. Thanks

When calling from outside it is voicemail handling the call and not the KSU there for vmail says yeah there is no phone but I have a mailbox so into the mailbox 901 it will go.
If a receptionist was to answer the call she cannot press Transer and 901 but F986 and 901 so it's the top part of this paragraph you need to explain to them.

How about using CCR, and an option to point to mailbox 901. Just a thought. I have not tried it yet, but seems like it might work. ??????

OK curlycord, then I should be able to go straight into the group list box 901 from the AA when I call in on the back line Right? If that is true is there somthing I am missing as I stated OK from inside but from the AA it tells me that ext. does not exsist. Thanks

you have to go into your mailbox recorded a message and then send it to 901
