Hi

I have a 2610XM (C2600-SPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(9)T7 with CCME Version 4.0(0, I have configured 3 test phones a 7960, 7940, & 7905 and each phone is able to call between each other. However none of the phones can make outgoing calls but can receive them in a limited fashion. If I make a test call into the router the FXO card answers the call and provides me a new dial tone then I have to dial an extension number and then the phone rings and I can now talk. This acts like a DID interface but I am not sure what I have done wrong the FXO card part number is VIC-FXO-M1 any ideas?

I have listed the config below

Thanks

under the voice-port enter
connection plar xxxx

where xxxx is the DN you want the fxo port to ring.

for example
connection plar 1510

Sometimes the 'connection plar XXXX' causes an issue where the caller heres a couple ringbacks before the phone actually rings. If this happens, try 'connection plar opx XXXX'

Thanks for the help, yes the intension is to have 2 line buttons on each 7960 active ie line 1 = button 1 and line 2 = button 2. Is it the ephone-dn where I can configure the lines to a specific phone?

Thanks

Just as a foot note that did get a specific line to a specific extension but I need to assign lines to buttons can you help me with that please.

Thanks

You can't assign an FXO line to phone by making it appear on the phone. You plar the line to the DN of the phone, as I instructed earlier, which has the same outcome.
What exactly are you trying to do that the connection plar did not do?

Well I guess I am thinking of a more conventional business PBX and for example on a 7960 I have 6 side buttons and I would like to have button 1 assigned to line 1 and so on. I would also like to duplicate this on each extension with a few exceptions such as a 7940 and since it has 2 buttons I would like to assign 2 lines. I am sure it is something I am not doing corectly but when I made the changes you suggested the line did ring into 1 extension and it will not accept multiple entries. So I am stuck again, the caller ID did work and the call was fine but just on 1 phone.

Thanks for your kind help.
Randy
