Dear CR experts,

I need to create a pie chart that would simulate the face of a clock. Some hour slices would have to be transparent, some of individual colors and some the same color as previous hours. I realize that you cannot dynamically control a chart's series' colors (or so my searching tells me), and so I need suggestions of any kind. I'm using CS10, XP Home, MySQL. Any and all help is very appreciated.

Insert an image that is the same size of the pie chart.
Underlay that image behind the pie chart.

Cheers,

Ido, thanks for the response. I wish it was as easy as putting an image in. The problem is that that depending on the data, the slice colors have to vary, and keeping with the clock example that means 12! images if my math is right (60! if doing an hour). I need to manipulate slice colors, or find an alternative to it.

Now I understand the situation. In the chart expert, turn off 'Automatically set chart options' and then user the Format button in the "Options" tab.

Cheers,

Thanks again, Ido. I will have to experiment, with it, but this looks like the right place to start. Have a star.
