I got them all.

And I've used INSERT before, too. People used to complain about "dBloat" in the language and say "Get rid of (name a command) because nobody uses it!" but you can bet that it's vitally important to *someone* *somewhere*. <g>

A foxpro hotkey that's more helpful to me is [SHIFT]+[CTRL]+[ALT]. Does everybody know, what it does?

I do now<g>. You're right - it is more useful.

Found out some couple of years ago, here, on Tek-Tips, as far as I can remeber - and use it often ever since

There, you have me feeling like a child left out an adults' conversation!

I tried it; it flashes the screen then return everything as it was... I can't stand the suspense!

What does the thing do?! Please!

Pascal,

What does the thing do?!

Exactly what you said:

it flashes the screen then return everything as it was.

The idea is that it temporarily hides all the open windows, so that you can view the background screen.

In fact, it's been in Foxpro since 2.x, and possibly earlier.

Mike

Hi Pascal,

like Mike said. Just hold i down a for a while, then it doesn't flash but hides windows - as long as you hold down the keys...

It's better than changing the menu from Close to Close All (or Hide to Hide All), isn't it? Especially if all you need is a glimpse on any output done with ? or other screen outputs.

Bye, Olaf.

Thanks Mike, Olaf! Now I can enjoy a good night's sleep!
