Hi,

I'd like to know how to capture the full server/system configuration of a partitioned system. Equivalent of doing "lscfg -vl" on a non-LPAR system.

Thanks!

Hi drencep,

try the following on your HMC:

lshwres -r ALL -m <your managed system> --all -y sys

Get hold of a copy of cfg2html, you'll have to register to a yahoo group to get hold of it. But it's a really good tool.

mrn don't believe cfg2html will work unless it logs in to hmc it will only work on booted systems. the lshwres and lssyscfg commands will list all hardware used and unused

This one I don't use the lscfg, but I keep the data from the HMC. I wrote program to extract the data from the HMC using ssh hmchost lshwres -cpu --all

slot information use -slot.
