I was hoping someone would have some info for me.... are the 1403 and 1408 phones full duplex??

I don't think 14xx are full duplex. It just lists them as 2-way speakerphones. For digital phones I think you need the 95xx series to achieve full duplex speakerphones.

Interesting. The R9.0 Matrix lists the 1408/1416 as "high quality 2-way speakerphone", but for the 9508 it says "full duplex". The 9504 says "2-way speakerphone". I always had thought the only digital full-duplex was the 9508. I'll have to test that out. Good to know.

The old 5400s were half duplex, it's noticeable when things are half duplex :)

Now you've got me thinking it's 1600s [ponder] If they aren't full duplex then I just clearly haven't noticed :)

The 16xx phones are not full duplex, the 96xx are full duplex. The price difference is not only in the look of the phones.

Ok so final conclusion is that 1400 series are not full duplex or they are? Cause the phones have to go into a class room full of 3 and 4 year olds and they need to hear when there is so much back ground noise.

Right, documents talk about "handsfree speakerphone" and that is the best answer you can get here as there is no more info.
Try one, in my opinion the 9608 has a far better handsfree function as the 1600/1500 series of phones.

You will need a conference phone for these purposes.
But then i still do not think it will work because 3 or 4 year old make more noise then a phone can handle :)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
