Has anybody else experienced a failure rate with Compaq Deskpro EN PC's fited with Fujitsu Hard Drives. We as a company have bought in approx 50 PC's in two separate batches and have so far experienced a failure rate of between 50-60% of all the Deskpro EN PC's with Fujitsu hard drives. All of which I might add have been prokptly replaced under warranty but Compaq has not made any apology or what may now be a more viabloe option is to replace the entire batch as a precaution. One of warranty engineers we had out on site mentioned that apparently this is a known fault and Compaq are aware that there was a large batch of Fujitsu drives that were fitted and the batch is now known to be faulty.

Any correspondence would be great
Thanks

We bought 110 Deskpro ex's. They all came in with Fujitsu hard drives and they've been crashing left and right. We bought them almost 2 years ago and they've been crashing left and right since day 1. We had 6 crash yesterday and 2 so far today. The drives that Compaq replaces them with are Matrox drives which work fine. The real problem is trying to get them replaced without troubleshooting. We've already done troubleshooting by the time we call Compaq, we don't have time to do it all again. They need to do a batch replacement of all those POS Fujitsu drives.

Good luck with them. I'll let you know what I hear back from Compaq. (if anything)
