im new to 2003. I have the ftp services running and people can go in and see whats in the folders and they can create new folders but if I put something in a folder they cant copy it to there computer does anyone know why?

How are they trying to copy? From command line, or from a browser? How are the permissions set up on the FTP server? Are they anonymous, or are they authenticated? How are the users copying? Are they cut and paste, or are they copying and pasting?

copy paste, and read write with allow annoymous connections

Have you attempted to use the command line? This will eliminate some of the browser settings that could be stopping the copy/paste.
