I would like to set up or execute FTP in a UNIX maching to
transfer files to my client (Personal Computer).

Do you have any suggestions? Or advise.

It would probably be easier going the other way using your PC to get files from the server. Is this a possibility?

Ken - I like your suggestion. I would like to use my PC to get my files from the UNIX server. If that's the way, should I execute the FTP command fromRUN program in Windows? And the issue the FTP commands?

Please advise.

121854,

If you would like to get files from your UNIX server to your PC:

Click Start / Run / type cmd and hit enter.
cd to whatever directory where you want to keep the files in.

Type ftp servername
get filename

Hope this helps.

John

That's ceratinly the way I do it, opening a cmd window and then ftp'ing to the server in question from the directory I want to put the files into.
