I've accidentally got myself a job redesigning a site hosted on a Linux server - mistake! I can't get FrontPage 2003 to FTP to the site - it won't set up the remote site properties. I've tried ftp://domain.com, ftp.domain.com and 212.67.123.xx, all of which have been recommneded by the host tech support. FP doesn't recognise the IP address in the FTP box, and keeps demanding the password when I've put it in correctly several times over on one of the other 2 routines.

I can use the host's own File Manager system, so I know my password/user details are OK, but that's real cumbersome compared to FP.

Has anyone come across this - and found a solution?

thanks, guys.

Go get cute ftp or ws ftp. You can find both free at download.com and it's just like using windows explorer. Log into the site on the right pane, local files are on the left. go to the public_html or of the site and load all directories from the left pane.

Thanks, DeZiner. I'll go that route. It just seems I ought to be able to do it with FrontPage ....
