Hello,

my problem :

A user has a open FTP connexion on my server.
He start a transfert.
And he is disconnected.
After a re-connexion, he canno't delete the file (error : canno't open file using by a running program...).
I delete this file, and he must restart the transfert.

why ?

Simply because this file are locked. The system didn't know if the connexion was up or down. When you import a file using ftp, when you are transfering a file, the system lock this file so that someone else cannot modify it.
Do you understand?
I'm not sure but i think...

Yes, i understand !

Is it possible to kill automatically this protection when the connection is lost? To allow to the user to crush the file and to begin again the transfer without my intervention.

After a short period, a timeout will automaticely deleting this lock i think...
