On IIS 5.0 i'm trying to have different logon permissions for different types of users.

I've disabled anonymous and set up for access via the domain. However, only the admins seem to be able to access the FTP folders.

I've assigned NTFS permissions to admins and users.

First time setting this up and would like one set of users to simply browse and others to be able to upload files also

thanks

You need to setup the users and the Permissions you want them to have on your ftp server in the Security Setting on the Dir or Folder you are using for your FTP Server Home Dir.

Make sure those users, have rights to logon locally (you can enable this under policies) A+, MCP, CCNA

Keep fighting for your knowledge!

FTP server properties has the local path of the FTP site directory. The users created for ftp uploads and downloads were added to that ftp directory's security tab. (i.e. D:\ftproot)

They are authorized to logon locally.

The only accounts that can log in to the FTP site are ones in the administrators group.

Not sure what i'm missing
