ftp login failures

I have setup a group call allowftp, added a user, given the group log on locally permissions, removed the anonymous login, when I log in as that user, or any user for that matter, even administrator, I get a login failed. This is driving me crazy...Any suggestions??

Is this a local group on the server or a domain group that you added?

I ran through the checklist, still doesn't work. If I add the user to administrator group it works, otherwise login fails.

The group I added is a global group.

It is now working. Make sure you have selected in the users profile to log on locally and also to access to this computer from the network. Thats all I did and it is now working... Http:\\
