There are two schedules one for the xln , os ,security which is set run on Mon,Wed,Fri and Sat. The other backup is a full backup set to run Tues,Thurs and Sunday neither one is set to run a save trans prior. Both are set to go to the same FTP server with the same login and password going to the same folder. The full backup fails every night(it is scheduled for) but when you dial in and do run now it passes with out any issues. Has nayone come across this issue any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Check for capitalization in the path and verify the FTP password. Linux is CaSe SeNsItIvE......

Sorry this is S8300 running CM 5.1.2 and the password is good because the backups run without any issue when you select run now via the web page

did yoy check the ftp's server log?
check how long a successful manual full backup runs and when the autojob stops

Maybe your ftp server is rebooting during your scheduled backup? I'm with meneerB, check the logs in your ftp server? is it windows or linux?

Also check if the FTP server will allow more than one concurrent users. Maybe you have more than one ftp backup running at the same time (give or take a few seconds). I normally stagger the backups by 20 mins. Check your schedules.

So I'm still dealing with this issue. The issue gets even stranger I set up another backup to run at 10PM. So there were three backups scheduled to run last night 10PM,1AM and 1:15 AM all three were going to the same FTP server with the same file name also the same log in and password. The 10PM and the 1 AM failed but the 1:15 went through. I'm waiting for the customer to pull the logs from the FTP server which is a Windows_NT FTP server.
