Does anyone have a link to an Avaya doc that explains how a backup to an FTP site is configured and how much disk space will it take.

Hardware platform? CM software load? Applications on each?

These backups can be done from linux bash:
sudo backup -b -d /var/home/ftp/pub --verbose -- security xln os (Use this one if no voice messaging)
sudo backup -b -d /var/home/ftp/pub --verbose -- security xln os audix-tr-name-msg

The commands below will show output files and size for your system. Each system may vary based on size,
number of stations, trunks system administration saved to xln backup. The largest will be the audix for
CMM. This ought to give you a good ball park figure for your server backups. Same files would be sent
to an ftp server.

cd /var/home/ftp/pub
ls -ltr
