all,

Why is it, when i use the ftext control in a dialog box the file data is being displayed misaligned, and when i open the text file in the ftext filespec that is being dispayed, the data fields are perfectly aligned?

Is there a way to correct this problem?

Thanks,

knob,

The file is already tab delimited, but for some reason it seems to be adding extra tabs here and there.

What do you think could be causing this?

Thanks,

If you copy the text from the dialog and compare it to the original text, does it look like the tab stops are longer (more spaces) than the original? I'm wondering if whatever editor you created the file in and ASPECT use different tab stops.

Also, the dialog box would use a proportional screen font to display the data. Text editors like Notepad, UltraEdit, etc. typically use monospace fonts. That will throw off the alignment.
