Please help...

I am trying to get my button to open and run an .exe file, in a seperate window when it is clicked. I have tried everything, with no success. Any help would be great!

That works locally... But it won't online!
Is that what you're tryng to do?

No...this is for an interactive CD. All I want to do, is have a main page, where the user can click on a button to play a game. This game is a seperate .exe file?

Any suggestions?
Thanx

Thanks oldnewbie, but i have tried that also, and you cannot asign an action to anyhting in the down state unless it is a movie....So why don't i put a movie in there and do it, you ask?...I have tried, that is why i am here once again. Nothing will work for me? I don't understand why it is so tough for a guy to invoke an .exe from a button in Flash. Starting to really piss me off! I thank you for your help, and hope you pass along any other information you may come accross, as one of these times it WILL work!!! Much appreciated Oldnewbie!!!

Can't you get any exe file going through a Flash button locally?
Also... Using Flash 4 or 5, what platform?

Thanx oldnewbie!

Thanks oldnewbie!

I have tried absolutely everything, and could not get it working! I checked out that .fla, and noticed that I couldn't have more than one keyframe in there for it to work! What an idiot I am! You just saved me many hours of hair-pulling and swearing!! Much appreciated,

Jack & co-workers!

My pleasure!
How about "Letting me know my post was helpful"!
