Hi, we are installing a ip office and are now using it to dial out. We need the old nortel sets to be able to send the 9 over to the avaya ip office so that the nortel sets can dial out. We tried cdp'ing 9 over to the IPO and also building 9 as a acd and ncfw to cdp digits. Neither is working. What am I missing? We have the tie line between the IPO and the Nortel working and are able to 4 digit dial accross so that part is working.

You should add a DMI to your RLI where the tie line is selected and insert a 9.

Just trying to remember of the top of my head.

1 Go into ld 86 and build a new DGT with an insert of 9
2.In LD 86 change your RLB with the entry for the Tie line and put the DGT number under DMI.

Thank you for the response. We got it working, I had to add the 9 in CDP as a TSC not a dsc. But now we are having issues dialing certain area codes from the Nortel sets using the Avaya PRI line. Spme calls work but others are not. I am only sending the 9 over now so the problem must be on the Avaya side I think. Avaya sets can dial out with no issues. Thanks again.

I would turn on D-Channel messaging and see what's going on
