I am looking at purchasing an activeXCtl that captures Photo's from digital camera's ... it makes an object like an object frame ... what I want to do is add a check box control on top in one of the corners of the object ... the DESIGN shows the Check Box is on top (FRONT) yet when the form is run this control goes to the back ... any ideas on how I can force this control to stay on top?

In the form design mode, right click the checkbox and select "Position - Bring it Front". You may find "Bring it Front" at the "Format" menu too, depending on which version of Access you are using.

If this does not work, then the problem is probably caused by the activeX control. I would try putting that control in a subform and then putting the checkbox in front of the subform.

No still didn't work ... I think the ActiveX is probably asserting top which sends everything to the back ... I am trying to get in touch with the company that built this control but for some reason having DNS issues to their site.

Howare ya BJZeak . . .

Have you tried putting the [blue]Checkbox[/blue] outside of the [blue]ActiveX Object Frame?[/blue]

Sort of a mute point ... the company that made this control appear to have a BLACKLISTED DNS so haven't been able to contact them ... I have reverted to using unbound Object frames which work fine with an overlayed check box.

The reason for the overlayed check box is I am using a matrix of Frames and don't want to have wasted white space.

Thanx for all the suggestions
