i have been frustrated due to frequent system hangs, with mouse and keyboard hanging - All I can do is to re-boot at lesat 10 to 15 times a day when I am on the internet or VPN+Remote Desktop. Following are the most frequent errors and warnings in the event viewer. Instead of posting each one, one by one in a separate msg, I posted them all here - hope someone will take time and help me with solutions to all of these. Most of the times I am unable to work from home and have to drive down to my office on weekends just to get on to my computer. Hopefully the causes could be the same problem)

Most common ones are the following:

There is another seemingly innocuous warning - I dont know if I have to worry about this:

Warning:
The outgoing routing rule is not valid because it cannot find a valid device. The outgoing faxes that use this rule will not be routed. Verify that the targeted device or devices (if routed to a group of devices) is connected and installed correctly, and turned on. If routed to a group, verify that the group is configured correctly. Country/region code: '*' Area code: '*'

Fax Service failed to initialize any assigned fax devices (virtual or TAPI). No faxes can be sent or received until a fax device is installed.

Make sure your machine is clean.

Will check your computer for spyware and adware.

See if you have any services that are flagging as "Starting" but not actually running.

Some general things to try.

See if System Restore will get you back to a restore point before your problem with Windows.

Try Safe Mode (Do you have this problem in Safe Mode?).

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click your Drive icon/ Properties/ Tools/ Error Checking.

Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.

If they don't work you could try repairing windows itself by running it over itself. You will lose all your windows updates but your files will be untouched.
