freezing planes in a table

Folks,

I have a situation. I have a table which lists users name on the first column to the left and dates on the first row of the table.
The rest of the table will be filled with data that corresponds to these dates and users.

I would like to find some java where if you were to scroll left and right the user name on the left stays put and does not move but the dates at the top do move and if you scroll up and down the dates at the top stay put but the user names move up and down.

Any help provided would be greatly appreciated.
