Freeing up PDU's on a data floor

All the equipment of a data floor need to be switched from one power path to the other to make maintenance possible on the PDU's. Basically the PDU's need to be brought down. One at the time. When maintenance is ready on one PDU, we need to switch back all the equipment to make it possible to bring the other one down.

Who does experience with such a project.

How did you start this project, from which angle did you approach the project and how much time was involved to make this possible. How many configuration items were involved.


This needs to be done for a large financial company (Fortune 500)
