The new Quattro 2TB ( is a replacement for the Pro range ( which I used as an always on (it used to power itself down when not in use) solution for wireless data access.

I am mainly worried about reliability, and weather it will switch itself off intelligently. I have had a good run with the Pro but now require more storage. The Customer Service dept for Freecom don't have access to the HDD in order to inform me as to its suitability for network use.

Has anybody got any experience with these drives?

I don't, but why not talk to the engineering dept.? If anyone should know, they should!

Who do I have to contact to get this moved?

Thanks.

Red flag it and ask the moderator to move it, if that is what you are asking.

I'll ring up Freecom tech dept, will post back if I get anything. There are no reviews on the drive either, which makes the process of deciding hard.
