Did anyone have the Beta 1's before Beta 2's?

When you uninstall, does it leave your projects alone?

And are there any issues opening the Beta 1 projects with Beta 2?

Are the improvements noteable? If so, what are a few of them?

Did they screw anything up between Beta 1 & 2? ... I like Beta 1, change scares me ;-)

I have a speed internet connection that took half a day(!!?) to download and install Beta2. I tried to install Beta1 earlier had no success. So issues are not known to me.
In Beta2 most annoying is the time it takes to load/unload the program. It takes 15-20 seconds to open a single form app.
Still looking into the options may be some more to say.

Or should we have a VB2005 forum other than forum796 ?

Read throgh this, and it might shine some light on why I made the above comments...

IMO... pre 2005 .Net versions did not compare to VB6...

VB .NET 2005 is the first I see fit to take on the Visual Basic name...

Alot of the 'Good Stuff' that .Net cut out from VB6 was added back into 2005, along with MANY improvements...

Don't take my word for it check it out for yourself...

Signed up for mine the same day this thread was started (May 9th) and still waiting. I finally got an email last nignt that said it's on it's way. Unfortunately, if it comes on DVD instead of CD it will be useless to me. I don't have a DVD drive, and don't plan on getting one any time soon.
