Can anyone recommend a good, free keylogger that they've actually used? Thanks in advance.

There are no good, free keyloggers. Most download sites have the same keyloggers that you can use for free for a limited time, but the good ones all cost a little bit. The more expensive the key logger, the better it will be. I've used Key Thief for a while, and found it to be a decent logger that isn't very expensive. I've run into problems with the email function of it in Win2KPro, but the developer said it is a problem that he is working on fixing.

Hope that helps!

Where do I find a free one? I don't really mind if it only works for a limited time. I only need it for 2 days.

If you only need it a few days, download any one (I still recommend Key Thief because it's very simple to use), and use it for the demo period. KT's demo period is 15 days I think, so it should do fine for you. As far as the email function problem that I encountered, if you don't set up the email, it's not a problem. :) You can find it on download.com, and it's a fairly small file. (And I don't work for them, it's just a good product, and the programmer has been great about responding to questions.)

Thanks a lot! I've been using key theif for a couple of days and it's working great.[2thumbsup]

Well, I see buying any sort of keylogger useless, considering half the computers out there come with some sort of keylogging system, if not ~ find a friend who has the keylogger prog, and download it into a disk then upload it to your computer, hope this helps.. ; )

Gday,

I was looking for a free key logger and happened upon your site. I managed to find a free key logger and find it quite useful. is the link and Home Key Logger is the program, hope it is helpful.

Cheers

Home Key Logger is a good program, however, the app runs in the system tray and it also shows up in Add/Remove programs. It's a good logger but isn't very steath.
