Free format command VMPro 1

I setup a service_mode command in VMPro to put a huntgroup back in service. I did - CFG:SET "880" service_mode 1 - The problem is that if I change the last value to 0,1, or 2 it puts the huntgroup out of service. I can't change it to night mode or in service with the command. Is this maybe a bug on R9.1 or did I miss a step?

Depends the time mode you have the HG in, regular or new style (with NS override feature).

And you don't need to make this in Free format, it's there as a choice in "User and Huntgroup..."

Works in 9.1 GA and in SP1 (I just checked)

But, there is a difference in fresh vs. upgraded configuration.
What did you do?

Kind regards

Gunnar

Appreciate the feedback Gunnaro. The free format converts the command into the drop down options automatically.

Change User or Huntgroup
Set
1010
Service Mode -> (0,1, or 2)
1

Above is what I have.
When you say time mode, do you mean like time profile? The group has no profile or night/out of service fallback group and my extension is the only member of the group (just a fictitious group I'm testing with). I think maybe you are referring to something else, though - what do you mean by regular or new style? Also, another weird thing. Every time that action gets triggered it's also removing every user in the group.

Regular style has the three options, In service, NS and OOS - Not had any issues with VMPro setting any of the three modes.

Yes, I know it converts, just didn't see the point in making it free format.

Kind regards

Gunnar

I've never used this command before so I'll try it on a lab system I have (which is on R9.0) and see what results I get there. Thanks for the help.

Try this..
Generic action: GET HG Service mode -> speak text: The result is $SAV

If you hear "1 omplete" you got a problem.
(yeah I know, strange, wrote it to a database to understand what the spoken text was)

If 0, 1 or 2 is heard, at least VMPro gets the correct info.

Kind regards

Gunnar

Once I change the Operation to 'GET', the parameter dropdown only has an option for service mode -> (0,1, and 2), Voicemail On (0 or 1), and Voicemail to Email (0,1,2, or 3). I don't see any options for the 'speak text' portion. Do I have to do a free format command to do it?

Just put $SAV as the prompt for a generic/another and it should play, you may need to push $SAV to a $CPx value and then play that (another recent bug) :)

I've had problems getting $CPxx and $SAV to play as prompts, hence the "Speak Text" (That is a separate module you put in after the generic).

Kind regards

Gunnar

ahh. I understand what you are saying. Okay, all it played was "one". So it's getting the value it looks like? My demo system is R9.1 as well, and in VMPro on both systems I have here I get the same issues. I went ahead and added an out of service and night service group thinking maybe it didn't like those fields empty. I put a set huntgroup out of service button on my phone for the group I'm dealing with and I created a shortcode *889 to dial that module. Every time i dial the module, the OOS button on my phone lights up (even though the value is 1 not 0). Because I've never used these commands I played around with turning on user's DND and forwarding with the generic command and they all work great. It's just the huntgroup service_mode parameter that doesn't want to play nice with me. I sent a config and mdb file to avaya, maybe they can tell me what I'm missing. Gunnaro, you tell me the 3 modes work fine on your R9.1 so I must be doing something wrong.

You can post the IPO config, we'll take a look at it.
(remove sensitive stuff you don't want others to see, like user names, mobile numbers, etc.)

Kind regards

Gunnar

Here is the config and the VMPro mdb. It's on my lab setup so everything is pretty much default. x201 is the phone that has the two buttons.

<a href= src= width=127 height=145 border=0/></a><br /><div style=font-size:9px;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;width:127px;font-color:#44a854;> <a href= >upload files free</a></div>

<a href= src= width=127 height=145 border=0/></a><br /><div style=font-size:9px;font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;width:127px;font-color:#44a854;> <a href= >share files free</a></div>

VMPro link doesn't work, and I was nearly sick when I saw all those config errors, my OCD kicked right in :)

You made the actions in "Short Codes" section?

Try putting it as a real module in MODULES (the empty window lower left with the funny looking hour glass in red and blue).

Name it "sermod"

In IPO-> Short code:

*982
Voicemail Collect
"sermod"

Save and try calling *982 [smile]

(And maybe clear out the errors as well, before Andy's head explodes [bigsmile])

Kind regards

Gunnar

I started with a module and moved to a short code after it didn't work. I have it setup to a module again and have the shortcode as *982 - I get the same result. If I turn the out of service button on from my phone and call *982 it just keeps it out of service. If I turn the button off (put the group in service) and call *982, it turns the light back on (putting the group back out of service).

I've tested your configs in my lab, no issues with the service modes at all.

But your R9.1 upgrade license is "Small", and you have it in SCN => Not valid => Problem.
Is it the same scenario for the customer system as well?

Further more, two of your cards are still on R9.0 firmware, which means you did not upgrade properly.

- Download a fresh copy of the latest R9.1.1 Admin package (SP1) and do a full format recreate of your SD
- Assuming this is a proper demo kit, tell your Distri to order correct licenses, and ask them to do a full report on what licenses that are registered to that card, looks like you're missing a few.
- Upgrade your VMPro as well

Kind regards

Gunnar

Thanks for looking at it. I'll check all this stuff tonight and fix what you said.
