Is it possible to put a free form comment box in the report so the user can type in their own comments. If so, how do I go about doing this so that it will be unique to the row that it resides on?

Sounds to me like you should add a memo field to the database, then just drag that memo field on the report canvas.

HOw do I go about doing that? I'm not sure where I go to add a memo field.

Hi,
Crystal is not a tool for adding data to a database, but for reporting what is already in one.

If all you want is for users to be able to add their comments to a report before printing, use a parameter to prompt them for it and place it on the report ( someplace with room for multiple lines, like the Report Header or Footer) with 'can grow' set.

What I am saying is that Crystal is not the tool you need for this by itself. First you need to fix your database. Then crystal can report on it.

What type of Database are you writing against?

I am pulling information from an Access DB that houses trade information, and I cannot add a comments field into the DB.
